Description

We have decided to sell Manzanita, only because of the natural aspiration of any sporting team to bigger challenges and hopefully bigger thrills.
Manzanita loves light conditions however we have raced her up to 32 knots
We managed 9 firsts in Echo and IRC plus places.
Manzanita has swept back spreaders (designed by Ron Holland for a quarter tonne cup in cows) with rod rigging. All deck gear is Harken

She had a full refit during the winter of 2023/24 including
Stripping the deck of all gear, repainted with international nonskid, all deck gear resealed and and put back in place,
She was fully painted inside with “international damboline” , a new floor fitted, lightweight plywood shelving all over designed, made and fitted by local kitchen company.

Her bottom is international hard racing antifowl which was wet sanded in aug 24.
Sails
UK main from 2019 had little use up to last year in great condition
UK J1 2019 same as the main
UK J1 older but still a good sail
3 different sized kites masthead and fractional option
I added 3 very good headsails from a top Irish Quarter tonner with little use
The J1.5 and 2.5 sit like a Genoa and are great in heavier weather and keeps the sail area lower
And the J3 is in new condition
Spinneker pole included
Sheets and halyards all included and in great condition

Her IRC rating last yer came down to .883 we were still racing in the club at .890
Manzanita has a road trailer but it’s in need of some work it’s not included in the price, however open to discussion.
We had plans to improve her performance for next year had we decided to keep her so we’d be glad to discuss the options.
She’s lying on the hard in Ballydehob west Cork.
